What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are used to make websites function correctly, to remember your preferences, and — where you have given permission — to understand how visitors use a site. Cookies do not give us access to your device or any information beyond what they store themselves.
Cookies we use
ESSENTIAL COOKIES — ALWAYS ACTIVE
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They manage your session, remember your cookie consent decision, and protect against basic security risks. They cannot be disabled because without them the site would not work correctly.
Examples: cookieConsent (localStorage — stores your cookie preference), session identifiers. Duration: Session or up to 12 months.
ANALYTICS COOKIES — OPTIONAL
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the website — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where they come from. We use this information to improve the website. No personally identifiable data is collected.
Provider: Google Analytics (where enabled). Duration: Up to 24 months.
MARKETING COOKIES — OPTIONAL
These cookies may be placed by advertising services to show you relevant adverts on other websites. Legatum does not currently run advertising campaigns, but these cookies may be placed by third-party services embedded in the site.
Duration: Up to 12 months.
PREFERENCE COOKIES — OPTIONAL
These cookies remember choices you make — such as your preferred language or region — so you do not have to set them again on your next visit.
Duration: Up to 12 months.
